Some week's ago many user's are being hacked by hackers through phishing and scaming,that is the reason Yahoo developed a software secretly to scan user's email conversation.
According to Reuters:
“The company complied with a classified U.S. government directive, scanning hundreds of millions of Yahoo Mail accounts at the behest of the National Security Agency or FBI, said two former employees and a third person apprised of the events.”
“Some surveillance experts said this represents the first case to surface of a U.S. Internet company agreeing to a spy agency’s demand by searching all arriving messages, as opposed to examining stored messages or scanning a small number of accounts in real time.”
Reuters also revealed that scanning of user's email have already been sent to the company legal team in which the intelligence officials were looking for a set of characters.
The 2 former Yahoo employees told Reuters that Marissa Mayer (The Chief Executive) made the decision to follow the orders and allow intelligence officials have access to user's email.
